a WEEK in beautiful Mexico in this Aerial Act Creation & Artistry Retreat with world class teacher, Kerri Kresinski, new friends, the beach, delicious food, and loads of fun! World class teacher, Kerri Kresinski, will teach you how to transform your aerial or ground skills into an act that is unique to your own personal expression. Learn how to make the same tricks look different, unpredictable, and dynamic.
We can accommodate various aerial and ground apparatuses.
This retreat is perfect for people who want to explore the creative process and want to be challenged outside of the typical class structure. You might be working towards performing (professionally or just for fun), or just curious about exploring aerial as an art form. There will be 2 classes daily. Artistry/technique will focus on style, musicality, transitions, trick molding, choreography and performance. Artistry/self-expression will focus on emotional connection, dynamics, character, and connecting with your audience, yourself and your apparatus. Other training may include flexibility, skill share, open exploration, and refinement.
Even if you don’t want to perform, this retreat will be rewarding!
Even if performing is not your thing, but you want to explore your aerial skills in a more creative and exploratory way, this retreat is for you. Learn to ‘put on your skills like a second skin’, take ownership of the way in which you move and express, and learn the progressive steps in the creative process that will enrich your life in profound ways.
My first retreat with Kerri was an artistic creation for aerialists. It transformed my future. After a week of her carefully researched exercises and expressive classes, I felt empowered to create my own work. Three years later, I still go back through my notes for inspiration!

Prerequisite for Aerial Act Creation & Artistry Retreat:
All levels welcome! You must be able to safely and easily execute a handful of tricks/moves before you arrive and be able to move on your apparatus for 3 minutes. Beginner tricks are welcome as long as you can do them safely and easily. Ground apparatuses are also welcome. Come if you are one of the following:
- Advanced aerialists who are ready to refine and connect deeper into the work of your aerial artistry.
- Beginner/Intermediate aerialists who are excited and curious to refine your tricks and make them into art.
- Any level aerialist who wants to take ownership of your craft!
Kerri creates a safe, sacred space in which you as an aerialist can create. She has a fun, warm spirit, with a playful master of her craft. I literally feel that this workshop changed my life and released some artistic blocks.

Sample of daily schedule

1:30-4pm Pool-time, lounging, relaxing
4-6pm Artistry Workshop 2 or open practice
6:30-7pm Beach Play and Sunset
7pm Dinner
8-10pm Artistry Workshop 3 (on days we have open practice in the afternoon)
We will also have time to relax, explore the local beaches, have adventures, and release baby turtles into the sea!

About your teacher
Kerri has been performing and teaching acrobatics, yoga, dance, and aerial arts for over 20 years throughout the world. Her life’s work, as an artist and a leader, has been to develop and deepen her study of the body—physically, emotionally and spiritually. She’s started studying dance and theater at age 3 and never stopped. She has learned that anything is possible with patience, discipline and a positive attitude. Kerri expresses her passion and spirit through movement, and feels that the body is the gateway to the higher powers for healing, transformation and expression. She is truly a unique performer, engaging, thrilling, and moving audiences with her skills, style, and heart. Kerri approaches teaching from a body positive perspective, and always offers new ways to challenge and encourage everyBODY to find their way to achieve their goals. She thinks outside the box and finds solutions to most any problem. Kerri excels at teaching technique, theory, strength and flexibility training, choreography creativity, and developing personal style.
Kerri imbues her classes with a really sweet combination of focused work, zany playfulness, and an earthy and body-positive sensuality. I walked away from my time as Kerri’s student more capable, skilled, and excited not just about aerial, but about the journey to reaching my goals. I typically have given myself a hard time– about a number of things in life– including my journey with aerials. Kerri is skilled and optimistic, is genuinely there for you, and 100% rooting for you to “get that thing” and if you’re not there yet, can show you what needs to be done to get you to progress. She knows the value of the hard or ugly work, but she knows how to do it in a way that is fun and full of compassion for yourself and your journey. I truly appreciate this woman and friend, and I now know that my time at Sweet Retreats was a workshop on many levels, and not just in the air.

Prices for Aerial Act Creation & Artistry Retreat include:
- Ground transportation to/from the Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM) to our accommodations*
- Accommodations for the duration of the retreat
