Note about COVID 19
It is our first priority to make the residency program safe, fun and sustainable, and create a haven for people to feel healthy, active, and productive during this time. We are taking this global situation very seriously, and are enforcing extra safety policies for residency 2020.
- As long as COVID is an issue, our 2020 residency program is a ‘Quarantine in Paradise’ experience. This means residents will not leave the complex except for social distancing walks to the beach, trips to the river, and a few safe outings.
- All meals and food will be provided.
- Our gym and community areas are open air, so we have plenty of air flow, space and sunshine. We have nature on our side, and a swimming pool!
- These rules will update according to the state of the pandemic at any given time.
New arrivals
- Upon arrival residents will go through a 2 week period of social distancing quarantine from the rest of the residents and staff.
- During this time we will all act as if one of the residents has been exposed to the virus. You may be asked to wear a mask during community gatherings and classes.
- Meals will be served in the quarantine in paradise social distancing eating location around the swimming pool outside. It’s awesome!
- The new arrivals must keep 6 feet distance from each other at all times during this 2 weeks.
- During the first week, there will be no group classes. Students will have access to the gym during certain times, and are encouraged to acclimate with light training and stretching.
- During the second week, classes will begin. Each person will be assigned their own apparatus, and classes will be kept small. Students may be required to wear a mask.
- After the 2 weeks, providing there are no signs of coronavirus, full course curriculum class schedule will begin, and all residents can feel free to interact normally.
- No late arrivals. Everyone must arrive on or before the week of October 3, 2020. It is of utmost importance that we provide a safe, healthy space for our residents to live, train, and thrive without possible exposure to COVID.
Aerials. My main driving force to get here—I knew without aerials I would struggle physically and mentally in lockdown. Kerri is the most amazing coach—She encourages everyone to live in their own body, and recognises the strengths and limitations of each person, with no judgement, and a clear focus of how to help you meet your goals. Teaching here is not one-size-fits-all: Kerri tailors training to the individual.
Sallie Chedburn – June 2020
I have already made so much progress in my aerial practice.
I feel confident in exploring new pathways and movements with my body.
I am developing a sense of musicality and performance.
I am starting to break bad habits.
I feel as though I am on the pathway to becoming an artist .

Technical Development
Strong Beginner to High Intermediate Level Aerial Students
Course Program

This program is for people who want to work on and achieve their technical goals of strength, flexibility, and skills. Learn how to train, how to make calculated, progressive improvements, overcome plateaus, and take ownership of your aerial practice. This is a time to hone in on your training and dive into learning on a deeper level.
We are body positive! Circus and aerial arts can be applied to any body type. Some bodies adapt to the physical challenges differently than others. This program supports all bodies to build strength and flexibility, and execute tricks with excellent technique for injury free training.
The course includes 3 group aerial skills classes and 1-2 flexibility classes per week. Apparatuses include silks and lyra, and residents have a choice to focus on one or both during the program. There will be supplementary work on sling and rope. Students will have 1 monthly check in with coach and 3 weekly study group training sessions. Open gym training is available every day.
Focus will be on aerial hoop and/or silks technique, flexibility, strength, and injury prevention. Handstand training is an option as well.
Creative Development
Strong Beginner to High Intermediate Level Aerial Students
Course Program

This program is designed for people who want to experience the creative process, develop their personal style, potentially create an act act and be challenged outside of the typical class structure.
Transform your technical skills, and develop yourself as an artist. Learn how to make tricks look different, unpredictable, and dynamic. Work on choreography, transitions, musicality, character, emotion, connection to your audience and your apparatus, impulse, dynamics, personal style, and refinement.
The course includes 2 group classes per week in artistic creative development as well as 1 monthly check in with coach and support to create a video project using your unique skills. Aerial apparatuses include silks, sling, dance trapeze, rope, straps, and lyra. Open gym training is available every day.
In addition to your classes you will also be encouraged to do your own creative research.
Students will be invited to perform in our online public shows and other video performance opportunities.
Professional Artist Residency
Advanced to Professional Level Aerialists
Open Gym Only
No Classes

This program is for professional and pre-professional aerial artists who wish to further develop their craft in a supportive and immersive environment. Artists must be self motivated and directed.
Each artist receives time in the aerial gym/studio (when classes are not in session), peer support, and the opportunity to show their work in a public setting.
It is the chance for an artist to live their art in a focused way in a relaxed, supportive environment. Here the energy can be dedicated to artistic development, self care, community, great food and the ocean.
This program does not include classes, but residents are encouraged to motivate and support each other. Residents can request private and group classes at an additional cost.
Participants will be invited to perform in our online public shows and other video performance opportunities..
Total Course Program includes 6 weekly classes (3 technical, 2 creative, and 1 flexibility), 3 weekly guided study group training sessions, applied anatomy and injury prevention workshops, and 1 monthly teacher check in.
As part of the program, each resident will be required to do 1-2 hours of community service per week including keeping the living, eating, and training areas clean.
Students will complete a video project showing the work they created during the Aerial Residency Program. There will be performance opportunities throughout the residency to show work.
The 3 month course program is best suited for aerialists at the intermediate level wishing to advance their skills. You will leave the program with a better understanding of how to train to get results, create a unique act, develop your own training practice.
Teacher Training! New and aspiring aerial teachers will come away from the course program with a comprehensive approach to teaching aerial arts. This program will be a prerequisite for our upcoming teacher training course residency program.
“Kerri’s Aerial Artistry Retreat gave me more than I could’ve imagined. We challenged our bodies, mind, and our spirit…allowing you to enter a deeper part of yourself, one that you usually avoid facing. It taught me how to connect with the audience, how to express myself in my movements and how to tell a story through my work.
Josephine Reyes, Miami, FL 2016
Such an adventure, an awakening experience I will hold close to me forever.
Kerri, you have a huge heart and a beautifully creative mind. Your process was genius.

As time passes, their friendship has deepened, their working relationship has become intuitive, and their collective wisdom of the body creates a dynamic and comprehensive teaching team. They are truly a duo with infinite possibilities. One of the many things that makes this duo so special is that they love teaching, and find delight in watching their students grow and learn. In teaching, they stress the importance of good form, efficient training, refinement & artistry, and most important, FUN. You can read more about Kerri and Chloe here. Click here to see videos of their performances (duo and solos).

Kerri has been performing and teaching acrobatics, dance, and aerial arts for over 20 years. Her life’s work, as an artist and teacher, has been to develop and deepen her study of the body—physically, emotionally and spiritually. She has learned that anything is possible with patience, discipline and a positive attitude. She is truly a unique performer, engaging, thrilling, and moving audiences with her skills, style, and heart.
Kerri teaches her students how to own their practice. Focusing on fundamental elements of technique, anatomy, and the physics of movement, her students learn how to train. Kerri goes beyond teaching skills and sequences. She teaches how to identify, alter, and create your own skills and sequences, and best of all how to fully embody the movement of each skill in the most satisfying way for the doer and the viewer. Technique, balance, stability, mobility, movement pathways, creativity, 360 degree movement, musicality, originality, intentional movement, elements of surprise and awe, and a deep connection to humanity is what you will get if you work with Kerri. She is truly one of a kind.
Kerri’s technical expertise comes from working with students of all ages, shapes, sizes, and challenges. Kerri’s knowledge of anatomy, physics, injury prevention, creative problem solving, and realistic goal setting makes her one of the most masterful coaches of her time.
You can find Kerri’s performance videos here and Circus Fit free online tutorial videos here.

“Kerri imbues her classes with a really sweet combination of focused work, zany playfulness, and an earthy and body-positive sensuality. I walked away from my time as Kerri’s student more capable, skilled, and excited not just about aerial, but about the journey to reaching my goals. I typically have given myself a hard time about a number of things in life. Kerri is skilled and optimistic, is genuinely there for you, and 100% rooting for you. She knows the value of the hard or ugly work, but she knows how to do it in a way that is fun and full of compassion for yourself and your journey. I truly appreciate this woman and friend, and I now know that my time was a workshop on many levels.”
Elizabeth Ferretti – 2019
“Chloe is an amazing teacher, which I knew, but I think what impressed me the most was how invested she became in us, how quickly she got to know us and that she was able to anticipate our challenges/what would work for us – she was able to set us up to succeed while also challenging us. It made me trust her immensely which definitely made the experience more valuable/productive. She was incredibly patient and helpful, and I loved working with her. “

Kerri’s aerial artistry workshop was soooooo rewarding! Kerri creates a welcoming, encouraging environment just by being herself, and in turn I was able to let myself be more free, more silly, more open, more EVERYTHING. Just MORE.
