When you aren’t practicing, you’ll be eating amazing, healthy food, lounging at the pool, swimming in the ocean, reading in hammocks, and enjoying being in nature. Get ready to move, play, breathe, feel, stretch, and express. At Casa Chango you are invited to shine and be yourself!

There will be 2 daily classes on this retreat.
Morning classes are dedicated to waking up, building intention, strength, flexibility, and awareness through aerial yoga and conscious movement practices. Each session begins with a guided breath-focused practice for safe mobility, as well as joint preparation to ready the body and spirit for safe and efficient practice, learning, and play throughout each day. These morning classes are designed to energize the body, sharpen focus, and establish a strong physical and mental foundation for the rest of the day.
Your morning workshop classes after breakfast will progress into your aerial teacher training lessons with Kate or your performance-based creativity and aerial technique workshops and conditioning with Julie and a special Aerial Theory workshop with Kerri. Learn to emphasize character presence as well as your strength, endurance, coordination, and fluid transitions on the apparatus. Participants will work progressively according to their level, developing body awareness, confidence, and control while learning how to move with precision and intention in the air. Attention is given to alignment, injury prevention, and sustainable training practices.
Afternoon and evening classes are focused on integration, creativity, and embodied awareness. These sessions invite participants to slow down, connect deeply with their bodies, and explore movement as a form of expression and ritual. Through a blend of aerial flow, floor work, flexibility, breath work, and guided somatic practices, students will integrate the physical work of the morning into fluid, expressive movement. Classes emphasize releasing fear, cultivating trust in the body, and expanding emotional and energetic presence on the apparatus and as a whole. Participants are encouraged to explore musicality, personal style, and intuitive movement through ecstatic and movement arts and practices, creating a safe space for self-discovery and artistic expansion.
Evening sessions may include restorative yoga, breathwork, visualization, or ritual practices designed to calm the nervous system, restore the body, and create a sense of grounding, clarity, and inner balance. These classes support a full integration of body, mind, and spirit, allowing participants to leave the retreat feeling strong, centered, inspired, and deeply connected.

ECO RETREAT CENTER
Casa Chango is an Eco Retreat Center. We do our best to live in harmony with the natural world. We are off grid, and use 100% solar power. We have dry composting toilets and use the humanure and food waste to create soil to feed the amazing plants and trees all around the property. We ask all of our staff and guests to come with the mindset of learning about and respecting nature. The gray water from our sinks and showers filter out to water the plants. Therefore we ask you to bring natural shampoos, conditioners, and toothpaste to your retreat. All of our buildings were designed and built to be cool and comfortable, and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Casa Chango is an animal friendly place. There are several friendly animals on site including dogs and cats. They will not enter your rooms, but they will be on property and in common areas during your retreat. Animal lovers will be in their happy place.
Native insects live in this area of Mexico. We fumigate regularly to keep insects away and out of your rooms. We also acknowledge that the insects are an important part of keeping nature in balance. Most of the community spaces at Casa Chango, including the gym, dining area, pool, lounge are open air which means there are no walls. You can expect to see a variety of native insects, birds, and lizards during your visit. We hope you enjoy the experience of living more connected to nature.
